[Skincare] Mary Kay MelaCEP Plus+™ Luminous System Skincare Range Review

Today I will going to share my personal thoughts after one month reviewing this skincare range from Mary Kay MelaCEP Plus+™ Luminous System, a complete regimen to address a whole new level of 5-dimension luminosity benefits including translucency, brightness, purity, even-looking tone and hydration. The range is suitable for dry, normal, combination or oily skin (literally all skin types) and have been found to be gentle and non-irritating.

Mary Kay MelaCEP Plus+™ Luminous System Range consists of 5 products; Foaming Cleanser, Freshener, Ultimate Serum, Ultimate Cream and Mask. It's claimed that can boosts skin luminosity and transilcency, brigthens the skin, helps skin look more purified, leaves skin looking even more toned, helps improve, regain and maintain skin clarity, and dramatically enhances skin's overall appearance.

It is formulated with three main ingredients like Edelweiss Extract, Algae Extract, and Vegetable Amino Acids. These main active ingredients are target the melanin, help to diminish discoloration on the skin, reduce the appearance of discoloration on the skin surface and the visible contract of dark spots on the skin, improve the overall evenness of skin tone, and significantly improve the brightness of skin. Plus it also contains Shiitake Mushroom (all except Ultimate Serum) that helps to purify the skin.

I never listed any foaming cleanser as my favorite but this foaming cleanser is my new hits! What is really like about is the texture. The texture is surprisingly soft and fine and it does not give me the common tighten and dry feeling that usually will get in other cleanser. This cleanser is very gently, easily cleanse off the dirt and rinse off easily too. My skin feel so soft and smooth after. Love this cleanser.

This freshener, or so call toner is watery and not sticky at all. It helps to tone and refresh the skin plus wipe away the access impurities. I love to use this before putting my makeup and also as a quick mask whenever I have a bad skin day. What I found out is this toner actually very easy to absorbs without giving any feeling to skin instead of a mild cooling sensation. Plus this toner has just a mild scent which I love!

Another swear-by product! This is the second brightening serum that can see significantly effect in less than two weeks! I love love love this serum. The texture is watery-gel consistency, very light and easy to absorb despite I went for two to three pumps. I can see significant brighten on my blemish scars area and much even skin tone especially the side of my face and around my nostril. This product definitely a splurge!

By the way, this serum is also contains Hexylresorcinol that shown to target glutathione and the accumulation of ligment on the skin's surface. Glutathione is vital to the skin's purification process. As we age, our body's natural production of glutathione starts to decrease while stress and enviroment pollutants also can deplete its levels. In addition, glutathione can impact melanocytes, which are responsible for melanin that can appear on the skin.

To be honest, the texture of this moisture which are creamy and pretty thick, is never my preference in a moisturizer but this Ultimate Cream surprising me alot! Although it is thick and creamy but it's not greasy and oily at all. I just apply about 5-cent size all over my face and neck. A little goes such a long way. Mary Kay claimed this Ultimate Cream provides 24-hours moisturizing when used day and night and it's really did! My skin feeling so soft with a healthy luminous glow all day. This is perfect combo with Mary Kay MelaCEP Plus+™ Luminous System Ultimate Serum, I can significantly see my scars lighter and more even skin tone.

Mary Kay MelaCEP Plus+™ Luminous System Mask is a rinse off mask that can delivers immediate brightening and lumimous effect. The texture is in white thick cream consistency, exactly like the feeling of stiff peak foam. To use this mask, apply a medium layer all over the face and neck, avoid the eyes and mouth area, and then leave it for 10 - 15 minutes. Can be used 2 to 3 times a week.
Side Note: Please do not let the mask completely dry!

At first, my personal thought to this mask was just meh~ Nothing really special as the effect does not really amazed me. But this mask kinda blow my mind away was when I used this after I'm back from beach vacation. I'm looking some whitening mask that's can eliminate the tan from my face and this works amazingly. This mask not only even out my skin tone while giving a boost hydration to my skin. I can see the significantly immediate brightening effect every time after I'm using this mask. Love it!

Overall, I love the whole range of Mary Kay MelaCEP Plus+™ Luminous System. I never completely fall in love to a whole range but every single product in this range really blow my mind! However, if you want to pick the best of the range, I would go for the Ultimate Serum, Ultimate Cream and Mask.

After one month trying out this range, from the eye sight, my skin texture become softer and plumper. My skin looks more even and pores are smaller. Not only that, my skin stay hydarated almost everyday while not giving any redness, sensitive reaction or breakout to my skin. It's proven that is gentle and suitable to all skin types. :)
